New Mesmer GWEN Skills
Anyone what to start discussion on the new GWEN skills? Of course they are all subject to change, and not even set in stone and of course are subject to nerf later on. At least it looks like a move to the right direction, and some lower energy hexes.
Inspiration Magic
[skill]Signet of Recall[/skill]
[skill]Waste Not, Want Not[/skill]
Illusion Magic
[skill]Calculated Risk[/skill]
[skill]Confusing Images[/skill]
[skill]Shrinking Armor[/skill]
[skill]Sum of All Fears[/skill]
[skill]Wandering Eye[/skill]
Domination Magic
[skill]Signet of Distraction[/skill]
[skill]Power Lock[/skill]
[skill]Aneurysm[/skill]
Edit- I was hoping the skill link would work but I guess not yet link below http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/List_...e_North_skills

First of all I think aneurysm is awesome ^_^. Good way to bring energy-denial back IMO.
Sum of all fears seems fun to use and 10 recharge (not bad for a mesmer skill :P)
Wandering eye is also awesome of course AOE dmg is always fun.
Waste not, want not seems like a very easy way to get energy.. I mean just target someone whos running...its pretty cool.
The skills to encourage signet use still baffles me i'm stuck thinking about signet of recall...calculated risk...does not seem to be a skill I would use..only lasts up to 10 sec.not worth it Maybe pve? Confusing images is weird I have no idea what to think of it..but then again it can go up to 140% slow .
Shrinking armor is awesome I hope they don't nerf it. its another quick degen skill that I can use with Images of remorse. and I'm sure power lock is gonna be useful in pvp.
Not bad but...I was hoping for something better for signets :P But i'm very happy with the illusion line and aneurysm!

Power Lock and Confusing images are the only ones that jumped out at me.
I think Confusing Images needs a percentage buff if it's to only work on 1 spell.
It's just too easy to wait a few seconds or cast a .25s spell through this hex.
I honestly think Aneurysm is probably the most overrated mesmer spell there. I can't help but feel it's going to quickly be set aside when people actually see it in use.

Like Avarre said.
Power Block is a kick-ass interrupt. The other skills are meh...
Aneurysm, for a dual E-Surge after spike maybe...

Avarre said "Power Lock"
Power Block is awesome, but Power Lock will be an equally awesome non-elite version of it. Looking forward to it very much.

Oups..
These skill names are just too similar... At least in French the names should be quite different.

IMO I am sort of disappointed no Fast casting skills? All other classes have had some added to primary. Hopefully still in the works. Maybe some ultra secret will not know till the preview skills?

I'm drooling about Shrinking Armor.
As it was stated before, if it isn't nerfed (I'm praying it isn't), imagine the carnage when teamed with Images of Remorse.
Shrinking Armor is the only thing that stands out as too good to be true in my IMO.
Wandering Eye is weird. Let's see, Energy Surge, Cry of Pain and now Wandering Eye? Since when are we an area effect class? Move over eles, you're getting replaced if this keeps up!

more variety
I was hoping to see more variety of playability added with the new skills- I feel like all mesmer skills do 1 or 2 of maybe 5 different things. The new skill that causes cracked armor is nice, but other than that the new skills feel like the same old thing in different number combinations.
Not that I'm complaining, its nice to have it, but it kinda makes it so that I really don't care to acquire the new skills- since I already have skills that do the same thing.
I was really hoping some skill would make it so that different profession combinations would be good- something to compliment mes/r or mes/p, or add something other than illusionary weaponry to me/a. I know there are different things you CAN do, but nothing really works well.
That being said, the skills look generally good.

Confusing Images is becoming more and more interesting.
No damage, but it is a small area effect spell that could help slow down the hard hitting PvE casters.
Just the other day I completed the Gate of Pain mission and died like 30 times in the process. A skill like Confusing Images would be a nice way to slow down those Tortureweb Dryders.

Hmm.. I'm just looking on necro skills and I don't understand something. Necros will get ours Backfire (Cacophony) but working on shouts and chants while lasting longer and taking less energy. Why they gave such a skill to necro ?

Because they already had the shout and chant hate in nightfall.
We can use our "power" interrupts on chant. I never did actually ^^ !

Because Anet Hates giving all the mesmer skills to mesmers like Spiteful spirit, maelstorm, or even spoil victor. On the other hand, if they give the skills to mesmers, those seconday classes abuse them to no end and they have to get nerfed (inspiration). So either way, mesmers never get the mesmer skills.

Not to mention this necro skill looks sort of Mesmeric
Atrophy
For 3...6 seconds, target foe's primary attribute is reduced to 0.
